Dr. &#350;ander G&#252;rb&#252;z, The Ambassador of Turkey to Tanzania</b>.</div><br /><br />The outgoing Ambassador of Turkey in Tanzania His Excellence &#350;ander G&#252;rb&#252;z has assured Tanzania Tourist Board of the full support in Marketing and Promoting destination Tanzania in Turkey so as to increase awareness of Tanzania’s unique tourism products to the people of Turkey. The ambassador disclosed that although he is going back to Turkey, his commitment to attract Turkish tourists and investors to invest in the tourism industry in Tanzania will continue.<br /><br />His Excellence Dr. G&#252;rb&#252;z made this statement recently at the TTB Headquarters in Dar Es Salaam at the invitation of the Board. While in Tanzania His Excellence &#350;ander G&#252;rb&#252;z was able to bring in the country direct flights of Turkish Airline from Istanbul, Turkey to Dar Es Salaam Tanzania which has been operational since 14 June, 2010. His Excellence has also been organizing several investments forums to encourage Turkish investors to invest in Tanzania, assisting Tanzania in organizing trade fairs in Turkey and organizing several familiarization tours for Turkish journalists to Tanzania in effort to promote destination Tanzania.  His efforts have played a vital role in linking the two countries and have raised the number of Turkish tourists to Tanzania five times more than in the previous years. Currently Tanzania is receiving up to ten thousand Turkish tourists. <br /><br />On his side The Managing Director of Tanzania Tourist Board Dr. Aloyce Nzuki thanked His Excellence &#350;ander G&#252;rb&#252;z for his commitment that enabled the raising the profile of Destination Tanzania in the Turkish market. He further said that TTB has been very much impressed with efforts   by the Government of Turkey through the Turkish ambassador in Tanzania in supporting the TTB efforts including introduction of direct flights of Turkish airline to Tanzania which facilitated penetrating to the Turkish Market<br /><br />Tanzania tourists Board has awarded His Excellence &#350;ander G&#252;rb&#252;z a certificate of appreciation for his tireless efforts and constant support in marketing destination Tanzania in Turkey.<!--sizeend--></span><!--/sizeend-->]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[<!--sizestart:2--><span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:100%"><!--/sizestart-->By Geofrey Tengeneza - TTB<br /><br />The Tanzania Government has assured visitors intending to visit destination Tanzania from all over the world that Tanzania is a safe destination as the government has intensified security for visitors against incidents of kidnapping that has been reported to take place in the coast of neighboring country of Kenya.<br /><br />Speaking at the press conference held at Peacock Hotel in Dar es Salaam recently, the Minister for Natural Resources and Tourism Hon. Ezekiel Maige said the Security institutions in the country were working closely with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism to keep Tanzania territorial waters as well as the hinterland secure.<br /><br />He said the incidents, which happened far from the country’s territorial boarders, should not be cause for panic or cancellation of Travel plans to Tanzania. “We would like to ensure our esteemed visitors intending to travel to Tanzania that this is one of Africa’s safest and enjoyable destination and we have intensified security measured to ensure that everybody is safe” he said.<br /><br />There have been two kidnapping incidents that happened recently in Kenya, which has led to a growing concern about the safety and security of visitors to the East Coast of Africa that accompanied with several travel warnings pointing at East Africa including Tanzania.<!--sizeend--></span><!--/sizeend-->]]></description>
