ZIMBABWE TOURISM AUTHORITY PLEDGE SUPPORT FOR TTB TRANSFORMATION
The Zimbabwe Tourism Authority has assured Tanzania Tourist Board of their full support on the mission of transforming itself into a fully fledged tourism authority.
The assurance was given by the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) Chief Executive Officer Mr. Karikoga Kaseke in a discussion with the Tanzania Tourist Board lead by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Tanzania Tourist Board ambassador Charles Sanga in Dar es salaam yesterday. “We are excited to partner with the Tanzania Tourist Board in its transition to being a fully fledged Tanzania Tourism Authority particularly as we break new ground in areas of cooperation with Tanzania” says Mr Kaseke.
On his part Ambassador Sanga pointed out that the collaborative effort does not only show the cordial relations that exist between the two organisations but also the confidence bestowed on the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority’s capacity to deliver transformational assistance as it also underwent the same process. “ We want to see the Tanzania Tourist Board graduating and transforming to become the Tanzania Tourism Authority having learnt from the experiences of the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority”.
A team of five executive directors of Zimbabwe Tourism Authority is a five-day visit to Tanzania following the invitation extended by Tanzania Tourist Board to learn from their experiences as a Tourism Authority and to identify areas of mutual cooperation.
While in Dar es Salaam they are expected to pay a curtsey call on the Minister for Natural Resources and Tourism, Ambassador Khamis S. Kagasheki and other top Ministry officials.
