The delegation of 5 journalist and one tour operator from Egypt arrived in Tanzania on 5th November 2012, aimed at acquainting, intimating, information and providing first-hand experience of Tanzania tourism products and services.

Speaking to the media, The Managing Director of Tanzania Tourist Board, Dr. Aloyce K. Nzuki elaborated that the familiarization trip is to intensify the tourism marketing and promotion campaign in Arabic market.

Apart from that Dr. Nzuki said “the result of this trip is to sensitize Egyptian citizen by producing the TV programs which will be published in their local channels and DVDs in three different languages; Arabic, English and French. These DVDs will cover among other tourist sites; Ngorongoro crater, Serengeti National Park, Dar Es Salaam and Zanzibar.

Nermin Nazim from Nile TV International of Egypt expressed her excitement on what they have seen in Tanzania especially the beauty of people, she insisted this is the best way to take us back to our root “United Africa”.

Since the Egypt Air establishes the direct flight from Egypt to Tanzania, the number of tourist has increased. Yearly Tanzania receives about 25,000 tourists from Egypt.

The familiarization trip organized by The Tanzania Tourist Board in collaboration with The Tanzania Embassy in Egypt, Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority, Tanzania National Park and the Zanzibar Commission for Tourism.
